My favorite music album

A couple of years ago, in 2019, I was procrastinating on YouTube and for those circumstances of life I came down with a video titled "songs that no one can hate". Then I clicked it with the idea of judging the songs and check if no one of those were hated.

And this is the way I met my favorite song until today: Welcome to the Black Parade.

From the second one, with that simple "g-note" of the beginning, I liked it. And the more I heard the song I love it more. The sound, the letter and the Music Video made me feel genuine and deep emotions.

This song is from American rock band My Chemical Romance's third studio album, The Black Parade (2006). The music video was recognized as MTV's "Greatest Music Video of the Century" in 2017. So, what is this album about? passage out of life and the memories we have of it. In short, it's a conceptual album on how to face death and, even if it doesn't look that way, life. "The Patient" dies and death comes for him in the form of a parade. This is based on singer Gerard Way's notion of death appearing to a person in the form of their fondest memory, in this case seeing a marching band as a child.

We can go through all the stages of the duel with this album, in The End, Sleep and Disenchantead we pass through sadness, in Dead and Mama we pass through anger, and in The Sharpest Lives we pass through the negotiation stage. However, these songs are not in that order, which makes it much more realistic, because the duel is not lineal. In Famous Last Words, "The Patient" said at the choir «I am not afraid to keep on living, I am not afraid to walk this world alone». Which is curious, since this is the last song of the album, that is, the song where everything ends up. So the protagonist accepts his death by accepting his life.

It's important to mention that when this band came to me I was not having a good time in my life, I felt hopeless. And like many fans of it, it help me to feel great with living, even though it story at first sight is about the contrary.

It's a very beautiful album and quite theatrical. If you're going through a bad time, remember "we'll carry on" :)

PS: And the singers is so gorgeous. JUST LOOK AT HIM
